Our digestive system is consists of 6 main parts -
- Stomach
- Liver
- Pancreas
- Small Intestine
- Large Intestine
- Rectum
Functions of the following -
- Stomach - the stomach stores the food temporarily and mixes it well.
- Liver - The livers stores nutrients and converts them into basic elements and makes Bile . It collects and destroys the toxins in our body.
- Pancreas - The pancreas makes enzymes that helps in the digestion of food.
- Small Intestine - Small Intestine absorbs the nutrients ans minirals from food.
- Large Intestine - The function of Large Intestine is to finish the absorption of nutrients and water and to synthesize certain vitamins, form feces, and eliminate feces from the body.
- Rectum - The rectum holds the feces ( passed by the Large Intestine ) until you push it out of your body through anal canal.
