In human eye, lacrimal gland lubricates the eye by producing mucus and tears. Lacrimal glands help to produce tears , which are situated in the upper-outer portion of each orbit , in the lacrimal fossa of the orbit formed by the frontal bone. Lacrimal glands contains an enzime which protects against dust particle.
