Alveoli are tiny sac like structures present in the lungs which allow oxygen and carbon dioxide to move between the lungs . Villi are finger like projections present on the inner lining of the small intestine they increase the surface area of the lining and make absorption efficient.

When the food has been broken down into nutrients, vitamins. proteins etc. from the stomach to the small intestine, villi lines the intestine and the villi absorbs the nutrients and vitamins which will be used by the body.
