\underline\bold{Universal\:law\:of\:gravitation:-}

》 Universal law of gravitation states that gravitational force 'f' between two bodies of masses M1 and M2 whose centres are separated by distance are is :-

• Inversely proportional to the square of distance between them ;

\underline\bold{Importance:-}

• The force that binds us to the earth.

• The motion of moon around the Earth.

• The motion of earth around the sun and the motion of planets around the sun.

• The tides due to moon and the sun and we can say that it explains about the occurrence of tides in the ocean.

universal law of gravitation

this law states that ,the gravitational force of attraction between two particles is directly proportional to the product of masses of particle and this force is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between two particles.

let's particles have masses m 1 and m 2

and distance between them is r,

F →m 1 × m 2

F → 1/r^2

let G be the universal gas constant

now ,

F = G m 1 × m 2 / r^2. ☑️

it is discovered by Newton

this law is used to find force between two particles ,and distance between two particles.
