Answer:

Angle 1+Angle 2+ Angle 3 =180°

50 + 70 + Angle 3 =180°

Angle 3 =180-120

Angle 3 =60°

Then we know that ,

Angle 3 + x + y =180°

Angle 3 +2y+y=180°

60+ 3 y = 180

3y=180-60

3y=120

y=40

so, x=2y

x=2×40

x = 80

Therefore the value of x is 80°

Hope it helps!!

Used Theorem:

Exterior angle is equal to the sum of two angles which are opposite to it.

Given: angle A= 50°, angle B = 70° and x= 2y.

Answer:

angle A + angle B = angle ACD. ( By using theorem)

50° + 70° = x + y

50° + 70 ° = 2y + y

3y = 120°

y= 120/3

y = 40°

x= 2y. ( Given)

x= 2(40)

x= 80°

Hence, the value of x is 80°.
