The two rails of the railway track insulated from each other and from the the ground are connected to a Milli voltmeter what will be the reading of millivoltmeter when a train travels on a track at a speed of 180 km per hour the vertical component of the Earth's magnetic field is 0.2*10^-4 and the railway are separated by 1m.​

v = 180km/h = 50m/s

B = 0.2 × 10–4 T, L = 1m

E = Bvℓ = 0.2I 10–4 × 50 = 10–3V

∴ The voltmeter will record 1mv.
