given \: perimeter \: of \: square \: i \: double \: of \: the \: perimeter \: of \: rectangle
perimeter \: of \: square \:  = 120m
perimeter of rectangle =120/2=60m
let the length and breadth be 3x and 2x respectively.

then

2(3x+2x)=60m
2*5x = 60m
10x=60m
X=60/10=6m

therefore

length= 3x= 3*6=18m
breadth=2x=2*6=12m

Answer:

Given :-

The perimeter of squere is double that of a rectangle.

To find :-

length and breadth of the rectangle.

Solution :-

Let the length of rectangle be 3x .

And the breadth of rectangle be 2x.

According to question,

Perimeter of square = 2 perimeter of rectangle

⇒  120 = 2 [2 ( l + b )]

⇒  60 = 2 ( 3x + 2x )

⇒  30 = 5x

⇒  x = 30/5

⇒ x = 6

Length = 3x = 18 m

Breadth = 2x  = 12 m

12 meter.
