Question

7x - 5 = 2x \: then \: the \: value \: of \: x

Answer

Given,

  • 7x-5=2x

To find ,

  • we have to find here the value of x in the equation .

So,

 \bold{7x - 5 = 2x}

 =  > 7x - 2x = 5

by transposing 2x to the the RHS side . and transposing 5 the LHS side .

 =  > 5x = 5

by subtracting 7x with 2x we get 5x .

 =  > x =  \frac{5}{5}

as it is multiplication so when 5 will came to the lhs side it will be division .

 =  > x = 1

The value of x is 1.

Verification

  • we can verify this by putting the one in the place of X in the equation .

 =  > 7(1) - 5 = 2(1)

 =  > 7 - 5 = 2

 =  > 2 = 2

Hence proved , the value of x is one (As 2 is equal to 2 ).
