 \frac{2}{x}  =  \frac{8}{12}  \\ 8x = 24 \\ x = 3

 \frac{x + 5}{4}  \\  \frac{ 3 + 5}{4}  \\  \frac{8}{4}  = 2

Given,

 \frac{2}{x}  =  \frac{8}{12}

then find the value of

 \frac{x + 5}{4}

By cross multiplication,

 \frac{2}{x}  =  \frac{8}{12}

2 \times 12  = 8 \times x

24 = 8x

x =  \frac{24}{8}

x = 3

Now, substitute the value of x in

 \frac{x + 5}{4}

 \frac{3  + 5}{4}

 \frac{8}{4}

2

therefore \: the \: value \:  \frac{x + 5}{4} \:  is \: 2.
