Correct questions

➝If Sinα = 5/12 Then Find the value of Cosα and Tanα

Solution

We Know That

➝Sinα = Perpendicular(p)/Hypotenuse(h) = 5/12

We get

➝Perpendicular(p) = 5 , Base(b) = x and Hypotenuse(h) = 12

To Find Base , we use Pythagoras Theorem

➝h²= b² + p²

Put the value

➝(12)² = b² + (5)²

➝b² = 144 - 25

➝b² = 119

➝b = √(119) = 10.9 ≈ 11

We get

➝Perpendicular(p) = 5 , Base(b) = 11 and Hypotenuse(h) = 12

Now

➝Tanα = p/b = 5/11

➝Cosα = b/h = 11/12

Answer

➝Tanα = 5/11

➝Cosα = 11/12
