Answer:

40 m

Step-by-step explanation:

⇒ Area of triangle = (1/2) * base * altitude.

⇒ Area of square = side * side

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(i)

Given Side of square = 10 m.

Then, Area of square = 10 * 10

                                   = 100 m²

(ii)

Let the length of each side of the triangle be 'x' m.

Given altitude = 5 m.

Then, Area of triangle = (1/2) * base * altitude

                                     = (1/2) * x * 5

(iii)

Given that area of triangle = area of square

⇒ (1/2) * x * 5 = 100

⇒ 5x = 200

⇒ x = 40

Therefore, length of each side of the triangle = 40 m.

Hope it helps!

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Side of square = 10 m

Height of triangle = 5 m

To Find :-

Length of the side of a triangle.

Formula to be used :-

Area of Square = s × s

Area of triangle = 1/2 × b × h

Solution :-

Putting all the values, we get

Area of Square = s × s

Area of Square = 10 × 10 = 100 m²

Area of triangle = 1/2 × b × h

Area of triangle = 1/2 × b × 5 = 100 m²

Area of triangle = b = 100/5 × 2

Area of triangle = 40 m

Hence, The Length of the side of a triangle 40 m.
