Diameter of metallic sphere = 8 cm</p><p>∴ Radius (R) =    \frac{8}{2} </p><p>Diameter of metallic sphere = 8 cm</p><p>∴ Radius (R) = 8/2</p><p></p><p>= 4 cm</p><p>The length of wire recasted (h) = 12 m = 1200 cm</p><p>Let the radius of wire recasted be r since, by melting the metallic sphere, the wire is recasted.</p><p>∴ Volume of cylindrical wire = Volume of sphere</p><p></p><p>Hence the thickness of the wire =  \frac{8}{15} </p><p></p><p></p><p>
