Earlier when I lived in Delhi, the waste has to be thrown outside in a designated area. There were problems like street animals litters the waste. And also foul emission. The waste was then collected periodically every once a day.

Now I live in Gurgaon. Here the wastes are collected daily by a mini truck by going to each household. It is good as it stops the litter.

But here also the waste are then thrown to the open land where it is collected periodically but the smell is awful as well as the menace caused by the street animals mainly pigs.

I don't think that in India there is a proper plan regarding the waste collection but this is my thought.

So many diseases can be prevented due to safe collection as well as safe management of the wastes.
