\huge{\underline{\underline{\pink{\mathfrak{AnsWer}}}}}:-

Amoeba is a unicellular animal. The mode of nutrition in amoeba is holozoic.

The process of obtaining food by Amoeba is called Phagocytosis.

The Various steps involved in the nutrition of Amoeba are : Ingestion, digestion, absorption, assimilation and egestion.

All the nutrition are performed by the single cell of Amoeba are :-

Ingestion:-

When food particles comes near Amoeba Amoeba ingest this food particle by forming temporary finger like projection called pseudopodia around it.

Digestion :-

In Amoeba food is digested in the food vacuole by digestive enzymes.

Absorption:-

The digested food present in the food vacuole of amoeba is observed directly into the cytoplasm of the Amoeba cell by the diffusion.

Assimilation:-

Are part of the food observed in Amoeba cell is used to obtain energy through respiration.

Egestion:-

When a considerable amount of undigested food collect inside Amoeba than its cell membrane suddenly reptures at any plates and and digested food is thrown out of the body of amoeba.

Amoeba is a single celled organisam. Whole body surface is directly in contact of atmosphere. So diffusion play a major role in the process of nutrition and excretion. Finger like projections called pseudopodia catch the minute food particles and engulf into food vacule. Here complex food particles converted into simpler molecules and send into cytoplasm. Remaining undigested substance diffuses out through the cell membrane.
