Answer:
There is more wheat cultivation than rice cultivation because it is a staple food since 6000 years and whereas in rice it is more labour intensive and needs more cost and time whereas in wheat , it needs less water and cost for its cultivation compared rice crop.
Wheat grows with little effort by comparison. Wheat grows dry, you don’t have to water it. It grows in my area, it gets cold here. It winters over even in cold climates. Farmers can plant it in the fall and harvest the next late spring. Or they can plant in early spring and harvest late summer or early fall. Flexible. Wheat’s as close to maintenance free as you get. We get plenty of rain here but rice does not grow here no matter what type you tried, nope not happening. It’s too cold. Wheat on the other hand thinks our climate is just dandy.
Wheat is used and consumed more annually than rice because chapatis that most of the people eat thrice in India are made of wheat and also BREAD is made of it and also buns and pizza lower bread and also COOKIES AND BISCUITS and also some type of waffers and also NOODLES and PASTA, CAKES ,CREAMS ,SNACKS and LIQUOR ETC are also made with it and so many fast moving consumer eatables are made of it which we eat every day
On the other hand rice is consumed less in world wide perspective and rice flour is also used , but for less purposes as compared to wheat
2.Sugarcane requires hot and humid climate, level land and no accumulation of water. The climatic condition is the most important factor which is affecting the cultivation of sugarcane in temperate lands like Praries.
