 \sqrt{2 \times  \sqrt{3} }

 =  \sqrt{2}  \times  \sqrt{3}

 =  \sqrt{6}

√2 and √3 can not be further simplified. They can also be written in the form

1 \sqrt{2}  \times 1 \sqrt{3}

comparing with

a \sqrt{x}  \times b \sqrt{y}  = ab \sqrt{xy}

So,

1 \sqrt{2}  \times 1 \sqrt{3}  = 1 \sqrt{2 \times 3}

 = 1 \sqrt{6}

 =  \sqrt{6}

= 2.44
