$\sqrt{x - 8 } = \sqrt{ - x + 2}$

Now,

Squaring both side we get.:-

$( \sqrt{(x - 8)} ) ^{2} = ( \sqrt{( - x + 2)} )^{2} \\$

$(x - 8) = ( - x + 2) \\ =>2x = 10 \\ =>x = 5$
