what number should be subtracted \:  by \:  - 4 \times \frac{3}{5}  to get  - 3 \times \frac{1}{2}

Let the number be x

Given

===> x - (-4 × 3 /5 ) = (-3 ×1/2)

====> x - ( -12 /5) = ( -3 /2)

===> x + (12 / 5) = ( - 3/2)

===> x = -3 /2 - ( 12 /5)

= -15 / 10 - (24 / 10

= (-15 - 24 ) / 10

= - 39 / 10

PROOF

- 39 / 10 - (- 12 /5 ) = -39 + 24 / 10

= -15 / 10

= - 3 × (1/2)
