Question:

Factorize the given polynomial ;

x² + 3√2x + 4 .

Answer:

(x + √2)(x + 2√2)

Zeros : x = -√2 , -2√2

Solution:

We have ;

=> x² + 3√2x + 4

=> x² + √2x + 2√2x + 4

=> x(x + √2) + 2√2(x + √2)

=> (x + √2)(x + 2√2)

Hence,

The factorized polynomial is ;

(x + √2)(x + 2√2)

Moreover,

If x² + 3√2x + 4 = 0

=> (x + √2)(x + 2√2) = 0

=> x = -√2 , - 2√2

Hence,

The zeros of the given quadratic polynomial are ; x = -2 , -22

Given,

=+32x+4

=+2x+22x+4

=x²+2x+22x+2×2×2

=x(x+2)+22(x+2)

=(x+2)(x+22)

x=-2 OR x=-22
