\textbf{\underline{Answer :}}

Given that,

x + y = 7 ...(i)

2x - 3y = 9 ...(ii)

Now, (i) × 2 ⇒

2x + 2y = 14 ...(iii)

Now, (iii) - (ii) ⇒

2y + 3y = 14 - 9

⇒ 5y = 5

⇒ y = 1

Now, putting y = 1 in (i), we get

x + 1 = 7

⇒ x = 7 - 1

⇒ x = 6

Therefore, the required solution be

\fbox{x = 6}, \fbox{y = 1}

hey!
#your solution :
________________

==> X+y = 7............(1)

==> X = 7-y

==> 2x -3y = 9................(2)

now put the Value of X in equation second

then

==> 2(7-y) -3y = 9

==> 14 -2y -3y = 9

==> 14 -5y = 9

==> -5y = 9-14

==> y = -5/-5

==> y = 1

put the Value of X in equation (1)

==> X +1 = 7

==> X = 7-1

==> X = 6 Ans!
