After listening and interacting with people of different religions, Akbar came to a conclusion that all religions preached the message of love, peace and respect. Akbar felt that the common ideals of all religions could be combined to form a new religious path which would be secular with a mix of preachings of all religions. The religious path that Akbar introduced came to be known as Tauhid-i- ilahi or Divine Path or Din- i- Ilahi .
