That right Vinay was preparing for his science exam. Suddenly light of his room
went off. His cousin brother Vasu quickly with mobile phone torch found
that fuse has blown. He checked and put a fuse wire. The light come to life
again. Vinay thanked Vasu and continued his study.
(a) What was the values displayed by Vasu and Vinay ?
(b) What is electric fuse ?
(c) What characteristics you would prefer for a fuse wire ?

b) electric fuse is a safety device used in electric circuit.

✴in our house says it is used in series.

✴it have low melting and low resistance.

✴when the current increases from the specified value fuse wire is breakdown and circuit will be broke.

✴fuse wire also protect our devices from get damaged.

fuse wire protect our devices from short circuiting.

c) following are the characteristic of fuse wire:-

1) it should have low melting point.

2) it should have low resistance because when the current is passed from the a specific value it get broke down and protect our devices.

3) it must be connected in series in our houses.

4) we can use metal like Copper, alloys. for fuse wire.

b]electrical fuse is a safety device which which prevent the electrical appliances getting damaged during short circuit or over loading.
