The 2016 International Minjar fair was started in the town of Chamba in Himachal Pradesh. It is a 8-day long fair which symbolizes national integration. It is organized to thank god for a good yield.
The idol of Lord Raghuvira is brought in a chariot in a procession to the Chogan Maidan. The people offer Minjar to Lord Raghuvira. This is made up of maize and wrapped in red fabric to offer to the deities.Hundreds of deities from Chamba district took part in the procession and cultural songs were sung during the celebrations.
