{\huge{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{\pink{A}\green{n}\blue{s}\red{w}\orange{e}\pink{r}}}}}}

  • L =  -31
  • D = -3
  • n = 6

Ln = L - (n - 1)D

= -31 - (6 - 1) -3

= -31 - [5 × (-3)]

= -31 - (-15)

= -31 + 15

= -16

Hence, 6th term from end is -16

Given:-

  • Last term (l) = -4

  • First term (a) = 5

To Find:-

  • 6th term of the AP

Solution:-

Firstly we have to find the common difference

Common Difference = 2nd term - 1st term

→ d = 2 -5 = -3

∴ The common difference of the given AP is -3.

As we know that

6th term = a +5d

here a is the first term

Substitute the value we get

→ 6th term = 5 + 5(-3)

→ 6th term = 5 - 15 = -10

The 6th term of the given AP is -10
