GIVEN :

7th term of an AP = -4

13th term = -16

To find :

AP

FORMULA USED:

  • Tn = a+(n-1)d
  • d = second term - first term

where=> Tn = nth term

a = first term

d = common difference

n= number of terms

SOLUTION:

Tn = a+(n-1)d

T7 = a+(7-1)d

-4 = a+(7-1)d

-4= a+6d

-4-6d = a

T13 = a+(13-1)d

-16 = a+12d

-16-12d=a

Now, -4-6d = -16-12d

12 = -6d

12/-6 = d

-2 = d

-4-6d = a

-4 -6(-2) =a

-4+12=a

8 = a

Now A.P = a , a+d , a+2d , a+3d.......

8 , 8+(-2 ) , 8+2(-2), 8+3(-2)

A.P => 8, 6 , 4 , 2.....

ANSWER : A.P = 8, 6 , 4 , 2.....

hope my answer is helpful ♥️
