Step-by-step explanation:

mean is change by change of origin(+,-) and by change of scale(×,÷)

mean=10(2)+3

mean=20+3

mean=23

Answer:

The obtained mean is 23

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

The AM ( Arithmetic Mean ) of a data is 10

Each observations of a data is multiplied by 2 and 3 added to the product

here we need to find the resultant AM

Note :

⇒ if each observation in a data is multiplied by s then

the resultant mean will be  (s × actual mean)

⇒ if a value s is added to each observation in data then the resultant mean will be  (actual mean + s)

⇒ from given data each observation of the data is multiplied by 2 and 3 added to the product

⇒ the resultant mean = 2 ( actual mean ) + 3

                                    = 2 (10) +3 = 20 +3 =23

⇒ the obtained mean = 23
