Given : The actual length of a painting was 2m .

the scale used is 1mm:20cm

To Find : What is its length in the photograph,

Solution:

Let say Length in Photo graph  =  x  mm

Scale used  = 1 mm : 20 cm

1 mm length in photo  =    20 cm in actual

=> x mm length in photo  =    20x  cm in actual

actual length of a painting was 2m
