The actually answer is 11. What am I doing wrong?

the process is as follows

x-3=0

x=3

4x2+kx-1=2

put values

4×9+k×3-1=2

36+3k=3

3k=-33
k=-11

Lets see.. ATQ: u have to put the value of 3 in the place of x and equate it with 2 4*9 +3x-1=2 36 -1-2=-3x 33= -3x x= -11  Answer is -11 We are substitutin gthe value of 3 as it is given that x-3 on dividing gives 2
