Additive inverse is the number which should be added to the given number so that the sum is zero.
The additive inverse is the SAME NUMBER WITH THE OPPOSITE SIGN.
For eg, additive inverse of 6 will be -6 ( -6 + 6 = 0 )
And additive inverse of -36 will be 36.

We have to find additive inverse of -8,
So we will change the ‘-‘ sign to ‘+’
Thus, we get +8 which can also be written as 8.

Therefore, b) 8 is the additive inverse of -8
