The adjoining figure is formed by a square and four semicircles.
Find the area of the figure.

Answer:

area of a square is equal to a square is equal to to a^2

14*14=196

area of four semicircles = 4*pi r ^2/2

=4*22/7*49/2

=2*22*7

=154*2

=308

r=14/2=7

area of the figure is equal to area of four semicircles + area of a square

=308+196

=504cm^2
