Hey mate.
Here are your answers-

【Ans.(i)】 Education.

【Ans.(ii)】 Food.

【Ans.(iii)】 As, in the fig. percentage of money spent on rent out of 360 (whole) is 90
i.e. it is the 1/4 th part of it.

If family's monthly income = Rs.9000
Therefore, expenditure on rent =【Rs.2250】
 = \: \frac{1}{4} \times rs.9000 \\ = \: rs.2250
【Ans.(iv)】- It can be done by 2 methods.
I am telling you the easier and ahorter one by using diagram-

Expenditure on food = Rs.3000
Percentage of expenditure on food shown in diagram = 120%
Percentage of expenditure on education shown in diagram = 60%
As we see that, Expenditure on education is half of expenditure on food (120/2 = 60) i.e half.

Therefore, Expenditure on food =【Rs.1500】

 = \: \frac{1}{2} \times rs.3000 \\ = \: \frac{rs.3000}{2} \\ = \: rs.1500

Hope it helps!!!!

Given :  pie chart about expenditure on various items during a month for a family.

To find :  (i) On which item is the expenditure minimum?

(ii) On which item is the expenditure maximum?

(iii) If the monthly income of the family is Rs.9000, what is the expenditure on rent?

(iv) If the expenditure on food is Rs.3000, what is the expenditure on education of children?

Solution:

pie chart has complete 360°  angle

Minimum expenditure where angle is minimum

60° is the minimum angle

60° correspond to education

Education has minimum expense

Maximum expenditure where angle is maximum

120° is the minimum angle

120° correspond to Food

Food has maximum expense

360°  = Rs 9000

Rent = 90°

expenditure on rent = (90/360) * 9000 = Rs 2250

Rs 2250 is  expenditure on rent

expenditure on food is Rs.3000  Corresponds to  120°

expenditure on education of children Corresponds to  60°

3000 / expenditure on education of children   =   120/60

=> expenditure on education of children   = Rs 1500

Rs 1500  is the expenditure on education of children
