hey friend,
_______________________________

Let John's present age be 4x years
So, Father's present age be 7x years

A.T.Q.

=> 4x+4/7x+4 = 3/5
=> 5(4x+4) = 3(7x+4)
=> 20x+20 = 21x+12
=> 20x-21x = 12-20
=> -x = -8
=> x = 8

Therefore,
John's present age
= 4x years
= 4×8 years
= 32 years

hello!
#ur Ans
________

let the age of John be 4x
&
his father age be 7x

so
 =  >  \frac{4x}{7x}  \\  \\ now \: after \: 4 \: years \\  \\  =  >  \frac{4x + 4}{7x + 4}  =  \frac{3}{5}  \\  \\  =  > 5(4x + 4) = 3(7x + 4) \\  \\  =  > 20x + 20 = 21x + 12 \\  \\  =  > 21x - 20x = 20 - 12 \\  \\  =  > x = 8

thus
the age of John 4x = 32 years
age of his father 7x = 56 years
