Hey

Here is your answer,

Let us assume that 5 years ago, the age of A was 3x and that of B was 2x, x being the HCF of the two numbers.

Now, the present ages of A & B are (3x+5) and (2x+5) respectively.

Age of A is 5 years more than that of B.

As per the given condition :

(3x+5)-(2x+5)=5

=>x=5

Therefore the present age of A = 3x+5 = 20

The present age of B = 2x+5 = 15.

Hence the solution.

Hope it helps you

Let present age of B = x
And present age of A = x + 5

Five years ago,

 \frac{x   + 5 -  5}{x  - 5}  =  \frac{3}{2}  \\  \\  \\  \frac{x }{x - 5}  =  \frac{3}{2}  \\  \\  \\ 2x = 3(x - 5) \\  \\ 2x = 3x - 15 \\  \\ 15 = 3 x - 2x \\  \\ 15 = x

Present age of B= x = 15 years
Present age of A = x + 5 = 20

I hope this will help you
