The age of A be B+5 and the age of B be B

Now,5 years ago the age of A will be B and age of B will be B-5.

So as per question,

B:B-5=3:2

or,B=15 years old

Therefore, A=B+5=15+5=20 years old.

Answer:

let the age of B= x

let the age of A= x+5

Step-by-step explanation:

5 years ago,

age of B= x-5

age of A= x+5-5 = x

ratio of A&B = 3:2

=> 3:2 = x: x-5

=> 3(x-5)=2x

=> 3x-15 = 2x

=> 3x-2x = 15

=> x= 15

Age of A = x+5

= 15+5

= 20

Age of B = x

= 15
