Answer:

Let x = son’s age and x + 24 = the father’s age. Now add 10 years to each person

x + 10 (son) plus x + 24 + 10 (father) = 68

2x + 44 = 68

2x = 24

x = 12 (son)

12 + 24 = 36 (father)

So the son was 12 and the father was 36

12 + 10 (son) plus 36 + 10 (father) = 68 (in ten years)

Answer :

Age of

  • Father = 36 years.
  • His daughter = 24 years.

Explanation :

Question says that,

The age of a man is 24+ than his daughter. The sun of their age is 48 years.

Find their age.

If we assume the daughter's age as x years.

Then, her father's age will be (x + 24) years.

According to the question :

\implies  x + (x + 24) = 48 \\

\implies  2x  + 24 = 48 \\

\implies  2x = 48 - 24 \\

\implies  2x = 24 \\

\implies  x =  \dfrac{24}{2}  \\

\implies  x = 12 \\

\therefore{ \underline{ \sf{daughters \: age \: is \: 12 \: years}}}

Hence, her father's age is :

24 more than her daughter

Or,

➛ 12 + 24 years

➛ 36 years.
