Let x = son’s age and x + 24 = the father’s age. Now add 10 years to each person

x + 10 (son) plus x + 24 + 10 (father) = 68

2x + 44 = 68

2x = 24

x = 12 (son)

12 + 24 = 36 (father)

So the son was 12 and the father was 36

12 + 10 (son) plus 36 + 10 (father) = 68 (in ten years)

Answer:

Age of Daughter=14 and Age of Father=38

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the age of daughter=x

age of father=x+24

Sum of their ages= x+x+24=48

2x+24=48

2x=48-24

2x=24

x=24/2

x=14
