The average of their age after 10 years will be 12.
Given,
The age of Diksha and Akshay is in the ratio 3:9. The ratio of their age 5 years from now will be 9:12.
To Find,
The average of their ages after 10 years,
Solution,
Let us assume that the present age of Diksha and Akshay is 3x and 9x respectively.
The ratio of their ages after 5 years will be in ratio 9:12
So,
(3x+5)/(9x+5) = 9/12
15 = 45x
x = 1/3
Now,
The present age of Diksha is 3x = 3*1/3 = 1 year
The present age of Akshay is 9x = 9*1/3 = 3 years
Now, the average of their ages after 10 years will be
Average = (11+13)/2 = 24/2 = 12
Hence, the average of their age after 10 years will be 12.
