then father=3y
10 years later fathers age is 2(y+20)
we know 2(y+20)-3y=20
2y+40-3y=20
y=20
now sons age is 20+10=30 and fathers age is 20×3+10=70.
so now their age ratio is 70:30 or7:3
then father=3y
