▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ SOLUTION █ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁

▼Let

  • The present age of father be X+40
  • the present age of his son be X

After 5 years the father will be thrice of his son

  • according to the question

⇒(x + 40) + 5 = 3(x + 5) \\ \\ ⇒</h3><h3>x + 45 = 3x + 15 \\ \\ ⇒</h3><h3>3x - x = 45 - 15 \\ \\ ⇒</h3><h3>2x = 30 \\ \\ </h3><h3>⇒</h3><h3>x = 15

HENCE:-

  • The present age of father=40+15=55years
  • The present age of his son=15 years
