Answer:

40 year

Explanation:

Let the sum of ages of those children be a and hence age of father should be twice of a that is 2a.

 Sum of ages of children = a

 Age of father = 2a

             After 20 years:

Sum of ages of children = a + 20 + 20

                                         = a + 40( as both ages increase by 20 )

Age of father = 2a + 20

   According to question: after 5 year

⇒ age of father = sum of ages of child.

⇒ 2a + 20 = a + 40

⇒ 2a - a = 40 - 20

⇒ a = 20

         Hence the present age of father is 2a = 2(20) = 40 year

✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:the\:sum\:of\:ages\:of\:Child.\:be=x}

As Given that Father's age is twice the sum of ages of his two children..So,

\longmapsto\tt{Father's\:Age=2x}

After 20 years : -

\longmapsto\tt{Sum\:of\:ages\:of\:children=x+20+20}

\longmapsto\tt{x+40}

A.T.Q : -

Now , After Five Years : -

\longmapsto\tt{2x+20=x+40}

\longmapsto\tt{2x-x=40-20}

\longmapsto\tt{1x=20}
