Answer:

Paul's age after 5 years will be 50 years.

Kirat's age after 5 years will be 35 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of Paul be 3x and present age of Kirat be 2x.

Now, after 5 years their ages will be,

Paul's = 3x + 5

Kirat's = 2x + 5

According to the Question,

(3x + 5) : (2x + 5) :: 10 : 7

We know that,

Product of extremes = Product of means

7(3x + 5) = 10(2x + 5)

21x + 35 = 20x + 50

21x - 20x = 50 - 35

x = 15

Hence,

Paul's present age = 3x = 3(15) = 45 years

Kirat's present age = 2x = 2(15) = 30 years

But we are asked to give their age after 5 years.

So,

Their ages 5 years later will be,

Paul's = 45 + 5 = 50 years

Kirat's = 30 + 5 = 35 years

Hence,

Paul's age after 5 years will be 50 years.

Kirat's age after 5 years will be 35 years.

Hope it helped and believing you understood it........All the best
