Five years ago age of Rena = ( 3X - 5 ) years.



Five years ago age of Tina = ( 4X - 5 ) years.





According to the question,




Age of rena before 5 years : Age of Rina before 5 years = 2:3




3X - 5 : 4X - 5 = 2 : 3





3 ( 3X - 5 ) = 2 ( 4X - 5 )




9X - 15 = 8X - 10




9X - 8X = -10 + 15




X = 5 years.



Present age of rena = 3X = 3 × 5 = 15 years.



And,


Present age of Tina = 4X = 4 × 5 = 20 years.
