The age of the father is three times of his son. After 5 years the double of the age of the father will be five times that of his son. The present ages of father and the son is?

Let,
Age of son =x
Age of father = 3x
__________

According to the given information,

After 5 years, father's age=(3x+5)years and son's age = (x+5)
________

ATQ,

2(3x +5) = 5(x+5)

6x +10 = 5x +25

6x -5x=25-10

x = 15
________

Present age of son = x = 15 years

Present age of father = 3×15 =45 years
