Hello!

Let present age of a be 4x years
Let present age of b be 5x years

10 years after...

age of a = (4x+10)years
age of b = (5x+10)years

Btp,

4x+10+5x+10=5x+6x
=> 4x+5x-5x-6x = -20
=> -2x=-20
=>x=20/2
=>x=10

Present age of a= 10*4 =40years
Present age of b= 10*5 =50years

Let the present ages of a and b be 4x and 5x.
After ten years their ages will be 4x+10 and 5x+10.

According to Question

4x+10/5x+10=5/6

6(4x+10)=5(5x+10)
24x+60=25x+50
24x-25x=50-60
-x=-10
x=10

Therefore

The present age of a=4x
=4(10)
=40 Answer

The present age of b=50 Answer
