the ages of leena and Heena are in ratio 7:5. Ten years hence, the ratio of their ages will be 9:7 . find their present ages in linear equation.

Ratio of present ages of Leena and Heena is given = 7:5
So, Let their present ages will be = 7x, 5x respectively
The ages of Leena and Heena after ten years will be = 7x+10, 5x+10
After 10 years the ratio of their ages is given = 9:7

ATQ...
(7x+10):(5x+10) = 9:7
Now Do the cross multiply of this expression.
49x+70 = 45x + 90
4x = 20
x = 20/4
x = 5

So, I Their present ages will be 7x = 7*5 = 35 years and 5x = 5*5 = 25 years.
