The First Five Year Plan (1951-1956) had the aim to correct the disequilibrium in the economy of this country.
Along with fixing the economic issues, the Nehru Govt. had also made plans for balanced development over the country while a simultaneously uplift the lifestyle and values of the citizen in the post-war and independent devastated era. That plan was very crucial and significant for the Indian democracy.
