No the plan of the union was not rejected by the colonies. When Benjamin Franklin come up with the Albany plan of the union then there were few downfalls in it such as no unite plan for the colonies.
This put it in the tight spot but Congress was in favour of the plan.
However, the delegated were completely opposed due to the difficulty in the corporation of the colonies.
