The alimentary canal stretches from the mouth to the anus.

EXPLANATION:

The alimentary canal is the digestive tract that consists of all organs that help in digestion.

"Digestion" starts in the mouth when the food is taken in and chewed and ends when the undigested food is thrown out of the body through the anus. The main organs of the "alimentary canal" include the 'buccal cavity', 'oesophagus', 'stomach', 'small intestine', 'large intestine', 'rectum' and 'anus'.
