let base be x
alt. = x+6
area = 1/2 × b × h
108 = 1/2 × x ×(x+6)
216=x^2+6x
x^2 + 6x -216
BY MIDDLE TERM SPLITTING,
x^2 +(18x-12x) - 216
(x^2+18x)-(12x+216)
x(x+18)-12(x+18)
(x-12)(x+18)=0
x-12=0/(x+18)
x-12=0
x=12

BASE =12cm
ALTITUDE =18cm
