Q=ms\Delta t

Now we know from the expression that heat energy for a substance depends on the mass, specific heat capacity and change in temperature.

So the unit of heat energy in terms of units of mass, temperature and specific heat.

The SI unit of heat energy is in Joules. Mass is in Kg. change in temperature is in Kelvin so SI unit in Joules per Kg.
